Petition to extend Winter Fuel Payments to Disabled
To: The Rt Hon John Hutton MP, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions
We state our support for Early Day Motion 518 which calls on the government to provide support for the severely disabled during winter in the form of winter fuel payments for people under the age of 60. We recognise the significant hardship that is suffered by families who incur considerable extra cost through having to heat their homes 24 hours a day and we urge the government to rectify this situation as soon as possible.
