West Fife MP Willie Rennie has expressed his concern that the Scottish Government are not heeding the warnings about grit supply levels in Fife.
The MP has still not received a Government response to his plea for more grit for Fife yesterday.
"Fife Council's grit levels are dangerously low and they have not received one more grain of grit from the Government since Monday.
"They only have one day of supplies in the stores. The management at the council are working all the hours to secure more supplies but they can only get enough supplies for the day ahead and no more.
"If there are any problems with a grit delivery then Fife Council will run out putting Fife's roads at risk. They are only one day away from a crisis.
"This is a crisis in the making and it's vital that the Scottish Government come up with their promised supplies if we have any hope of avoiding it.'
