EASE HOUSING CRISIS WITH PRACTICAL INVESTMENT - TOLSON

Scottish Liberal Democrat Communities spokesperson Jim Tolson MSP has responded to a new coalition of organisations calling for more affordable housing. Mr Tolson is calling on the Executive to abandon election gimmicks such as the First Time Buyers Grant and invest more money in affordable housing for rent and purchase.
Commenting, Mr Tolson said:
"The 200,000 Scots on housing waiting lists need practical investment that will make a difference, not neat gimmicks like the First Time Buyers Grant.
"This Executive must get its priorities right. I want to see public money being invested in more affordable housing for rent and purchase."
