Local Liberal Democrat MP, Willie Rennie, tabled a special Motion in Parliament this week congratulating Pitreavie Athletic Club on reaching its 50th anniversary.
Willie Rennie said:
"As Pitreavie reaches it's 50th Anniversary I commend them on five decades of fantastic achievement. During this time the Pitreavie have consistently produced a high standard of athletes, many of whom have competed on the world stage. I wish them 50 more years of continued success.
Pitreavie Amateur Athletic Club was officially named in 1956, having been previously known as the Carnegie AAC, when the grounds were established by Mr Ord Cunningham of the Dunfermline Carnegie Trust four years earlier.
